In our everyday lives, we can be so busy with our lifestyle and jobs, that we do not tend to our children or loved ones who may be going through a difficult time in their life. This is where patience comes in because as parents, there is so much going on in your life, you do not have the patience to help your children with their homework and spend a few hours with them. Instead, you are so busy at work, you neglect your children to learn by themselves, which can be good and bad in both perspectives. Your work and personal life need to be balanced. In Romans 12:12, the scripture tells us that we should “rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer,” meaning we need to be more hopeful by going through obstacles in our life that may not be easy and to always pray for patience and understanding so you will know how to handle every situation that comes at you.
You never know when it will the last time your children needed you to help them. Never ignore your children because they are a blessing from the Lord. Now, we all understand that parents have to work to help provide food, clothing, learning environment, and many other things for their children to help them grow. However, there should be a balance between work and personal life when it comes to having a family of your own. If we do not have patience with ourselves, how are we going to have patience with other people? As God’s people, all of us should show more empathy and patience to others and spend quality time with our loved ones. Cherish every moment and always remember the good times. So, my dear friends, by having patience with yourself, you will be able to balance your life and be there for your children.
Remember, God will bless you more abundantly!
