In life, we tend to have a mug face on whenever someone shows kindness towards us in many ways, such as: opening a door, saying hello, showing concern and empathy, lending a hand with groceries, etc. These simple kind gestures can lift a person’s mood to light up their day, even when we may be going through a difficult time in our life. In Luke 6:35, the scripture tells us that we should “love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most-High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil,” meaning it is required that all of us should love our enemies, giving without receiving in return because when we do this, God will reward us for showing endless kindness towards others. For God has shown love towards people who do evil things.
We do not have a right to take away kindness and happiness from other people because of our evil selfish ways. As God’s people, it is our duty and privilege to show people our kindness in a daily basis, even if people have an angry or a stank look on their face. Cheer people up with a smile or a kind gesture to show that you really care, not because you choose to do it, but because it is required of us as well. Do not be disgruntled if someone does not show kindness to you. Always kill people with kindness and show endless compassion, because if our Savior Jesus Christ can show his kindness and love towards us, we can do the same for other people.
We may be different in our appearances, but one thing is for certain: we are all created equal in God’s image. So, my dear friends, it is important that we show kindness to others and let others see the God in us.
Remember, God will bless you more abundantly!
