Every day in our lives, everyone had a moment in their life where we could not control our drinking habits or hunger for the food we see, either on t.v. or on someone else’s plate, and would go to a fast food restaurant or somewhere nice to eat to satisfy ourselves. However, if we go overboard with our bad drinking and eating habits, we will become obese and experience different kinds of diseases and we do not want that in our life. All of this can be solved if we only use moderation daily and have a healthier lifestyle so we can control our feelings for food or worse, “alcohol.” In Philippians 4:5, the scripture tells us, “let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand,” meaning we should say no to food or drink that are tempting for us to partake and have self-control.
As God’s people, what we need to do is learn how to restrain ourselves from drinking alcohol and eating bad foods that are not good for our bodies because it is the right thing to do. So, my dear friends, we should practice every day by reminding ourselves of certain foods or drinks we should stay away from because what we put in, is what we put out. Our body is our temple and we have to take care of it. The Holy Spirit helps us with self-control, overcoming sin, and obeying the Lord.
Remember, God will bless you more abundantly!
