In our daily walks of life, we have prideful moments where we know everything and do not ask for help. I can say that I am guilty of having pride myself, but where do you think pride comes from? Now, pride is a sin that comes from a generational curse by our ancestors and God hates it. In Proverbs 8:13, God described what pride is and it says, “to fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech ” meaning if we have a righteous attitude and walk in his ways, we will hate our evil ways. This verse is the definition of pride itself. Also, in Proverbs 16: 18-19, tells us that “pride goes before destruction,” which is a direct message for us as a warning for our bad behavior.
As God’s people, we should not have a prideful character and have a Christ-like character so we can have a pure and clean heart. What we need to do is represent God everywhere we go and continue to build our character so that we will discern our evil ways and eliminate them. I know it is not easy for us to change our behavior, but in order to walk in God’s ways, we need to have change hearts, not prideful hearts. So, my dear friends, it is important that we change our prideful ways and start walking in God’s ways for once, not for anybody else, but for ourselves.
Remember, God will bless you more abundantly!
