Repentance

Every day, there are some people who are currently disrupting our neighborhoods and communities by committing crimes, robbery, car accidents, etc. Other people will hold grudges from bad memories in their past that plagued them growing up and let it consume them. Every time someone shows us kindness, we build up a wall and use our painful past to say hurtful things to other people and instead, we hurt ourselves. In 1 John 1:9, the scripture tells us that “if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness,” meaning we should put forth our sins before God and ask for a clean heart. If we repent every day, we will not only be cleansed but have a heart after God by thinking only of good things and continue our life’s purpose.

What we need to is come humbly before God as a child and repent for our evil ways because God loves those who he chastise. So, my dear friends, it is imperative that we ask God for forgiveness and a clean heart so we can be cleansed from the evil things of this world. We are not alone in this fight. If we put our trust in God, he will deliver us from our evil ways and send the Holy Spirit to cleanse us with a pure heart.

Remember, God will bless you more abundantly!
